COURSE OUTLINE:

In this Song Writing Course, you will gain a solid understanding of music fundamentals while building your own musical language. This course will be able to teach you multiple approaches in starting and finishing a song, understand the essential comonents of a song, music copyrighting, music law,  learn Lyrical writing and Melodic Writing which will form the foundation in writing your songs. An understanding of basic music theory will support you in all of your musical endeavors, eventually making the application of advanced topics much easier. At the end of this course, you will be able to compose your own song with basic melody, and arrangement (complexity depends on the difficulty level and module), and permorm it with or without the assistance of other class members or instructors, inside, and outside the class.

Each module (e.g. 101, 102, 106, etc...), has 2 parts (eg. 101A and 101B), 5 days per part. The first part is the learning of a specific skill then the second part is the application of the learned skill into a song. Before advancing into the next module there will be a writen and practical test. You can take unlimited tests until the student reaches the passing mark. Students who finish & complete the 2 part module/s (10 days) with be awarded with a certificate during the optional class recital/batch recital.

Premium Protege' SW Course  - 6 months - 1 year course (depending on frequency of classes)
