MUSIC PRODUCTION SUMMER BOOT CAMP

THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS WHO FINISHED MUSIC PRODUCTION 105 and above or equivalent (passed assessment)

Music Production Summer Boot Camp is a 3-day boot camp in which students will be grouped together and pick a topic randomly for their music production project. They will produce one musical composition individually and one musical composition as a group. The musical composition will be performed in the class, discussed, explained, broken down into parts, analyzed, deliberated and polished. Not only that the students will learn from the teacher but learn from other students as well. Finished Projects will be screened and will be launched as a compilation album under Northern Root Records. (Recording and Mixing Fees and CD Printing are not included in the enrollement fee)

-bring your own laptop/iPad (w/charger) with Garage Band and akai mini or any midi keyboard

-10-12 students only

-Classes will start as soon as minimum # of students are filled

SONG WRITING SUMMER BOOT CAMP

THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS WHO FINISHED SONG WRITING 105 and above or equivalent (passed assessment)

Wong Writing Summer Boot Camp is a 3-day boot camp in which students will be grouped together and pick a topic randomly for their song writing project. They will write one song individually and one song as a group. Songs will be performed in the class, discussed, explained in lyrical and melodical way of  composition, broken down into parts, analyzed, deliberated and polished. Not only that the students will learn from the teacher but learn from other students as well. Finished Projects will be screened and will be launched as a compilation album under Northern Root Records.

(Recording and Mixing Fees and CD Printing are not included in the enrollement fee)

BAND SUMMER BOOT CAMP

THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS WHO FINISHED MUSICAL INSTRUMENT COURSE (either Guitar 105/Drums105/Piano105/Bass105/Ukulele105/Violin105) and above or equivalent (passed assessment)

Band Summer Boot Camp is a 5-day boot camp in which students will be grouped together into 3 teams (3 -5 members per team). Team members will be chosen randomly. In this boot camp, you will learn tips how to play in a a band. Each team will have to perform 2 songs (1 slow and 1 fast). They will perform in the class, observe their stage presence/stage attitude, sync and harmony, their playing style to improve their skill and feel during live band performances. Not only that the students will learn from the teacher but learn from other students as well.

-bring your own instrument depending on your preference (but instruments are provided)

-3 students per instruments only. max of 3 teams (4-5 members per team)

DJ SUMMER BOOT CAMP

THIS COURSE IS FOR STUDENTS WHO FINISHED DJ TUTORIAL 105 and above or equivalent (passed assessment)

DJ Summer Boot Camp is a 3-day boot camp in which students will be grouped together and pick songs randomly to mix and scratch.  Students will perform in class, and instructors will give comments on their performance and give tips and techniques how to improve to perform live DJing. Not only that the students will learn from the teacher but learn from other students as well.
